Reverend Noel Alumit (Dharma Name: Pu-An) recieved his Master of Divinity in Buddhist Chaplaincy at the University of the West. He is an Adjunct Professor at UWest, teaching Religion, Science and Society.

He contributed a chapter to A Thousand Hands: A Guidebook to Caring for Your Buddhist Community (Sumeru Press), focusing on HIV/AIDS.

He was ordained through the International Center for Chinese Buddhism and Culture.






Noel is interested in the ingtersection of creativity and spirituality. One of the ways he realizes this is through his WRITE EFFORT workshops. WRITE EFFORT is creative writing through a Buddhist lens.  The workshops incorporates Buddhist concepts taught in a retreat-like manner.
